IGNITE was formed in 2005 as a program of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce.  It's purpose was to unite a diverse group of Young Professionals by fostering activities and civic engagements, creating investment in our region.  Today this purpose still exists, in addition IGNITE has grown its mission into inspiring creativity, providing network opportunties and encouraging community involvement and awareness. 

Many ask, what defines a Young Professional? 

A Young Professional is simply a goal- oriented individual, at any age, with a mind set and dedication to pursue a career path that serves as professional development and life inspiration. It is much less the job or vocation that defines the Young Professional as it is the individual’s drive and investment in his or her own future and community.  A Cayuga County Young Professional must either live or work in Cayuga County;  investing in our region.

IGNITE's Goal

IGNITE’s concentration is educational meetings, volunteering opportunities, and encouraging community involvement.  We strive to foster young professionals to get involved with their community, whether it being through Community Events, Fundraising, Volunteering or attending Professional Development Trainings.
